关于“XPNT”

名字由来

blogspot的二级域名不好申请，特别是短的，申请了好几个（包括全名的拼音）都不甚满意，最后定下来用“XPNT”（启用于2006年7月22日晚上）。

至于“XPNT”，“XP”是我名字的简写，“NT”是“NOTE”的简写，也就是“笔记”的意思，恰好这两对字母都因为MS两个操作系统的版本为人们所熟知。“XP”又可以理解为“体验、经验、经历等（experience）”，而“NT”可以理解为“新技术(New Technology)”或者“技术笔记（Notes of Technology）”。所以这个域名可以有以下几个版本的解释：

• XP's Notes
• My Experience Notes
• XP's Notes of Technology
• Experience of New Technology
• ... ...

但是，本人无意做一个以MS操作系统为主要内容的blog，虽然肯定会有一些与计算机相关的话题，:)

建站目的

关于“Experience”和“Note”这两个单词，在网上找到如下“我需要的”解释：

Experience

• involvement in something over time
  
• knowledge or skill acquired
• sum total of somebody's experiences
• something that happens to somebody
• knowledge from observation
  

Note

• jotted record or summary
• item of supplementary information
• summary for future reference (pl.)
• information written on paper (pl.)

Note可以理解为“笔记, 记录, 备忘录,注[解]释, 评论”等等，应该比“log”有更多单纯“记录”以外的东西。

总之，本人这个blog就是准备本着认真负责的态度，用心记录整理一些东西，期待有所收获，兼与他人分享。

As the title implies the being known as 'xpnt' is officially dead. I do not intend to ever bring this back, but I will not give up the domain. But those who do know me, know I'm big on iconology and myth. That being said you either understood it or not.
